This year marks RPRY’s 75th anniversary! Seventy-five years ago, RPRY (or as it was then called, Moriah) was an innovative and visionary enterprise. RPRY continues to be at the vanguard of Jewish education, always looking for ways to change and improve. We are so proud of the yeshiva’s history of providing a Jewish education to the children of central New Jersey.
Befitting this milestone for our yeshiva, the theme this year is Mesorah - tradition. RPRY was the first school in central New Jersey dedicated to passing down our nation’s Mesorah to the next generation of children. Teaching Torah and mitzvot, love of Hashem and of Israel is a continuation of our tradition from Har Sinai and earlier. In addition to the Mesorah that is the heritage of all of Bnai Yisrael, we also have an RPRY Mesorah, a particular set of values and culture, a seventy-five year tradition started by Rabbi Raymon and other leaders in our community that we pass along to our students. An RPRY education fuses Torah learning with strong general studies, for example, and emphasizes midot so that our students are models of good character both within our community and out in the broader world.
