On Tuesday before the break, the RPRY lower school assembled together to reinforce our Hakarat Hatov theme of the year through a Thanksgiving program. The student council performed a skit based on the children’s book “A Squash and a Squeeze” by Julia Donaldson. The lesson of appreciating and being thankful for what we have was shared through the skit and reinforced by the student council speakers.
The student council introduced a Hakarat Hatov "Thank You" card program that they are spearheading this year. They presented Rabbi Loew with a large thank you card at the assembly, containing personal notes from each student. Grades K-4 then created thank you cards for members of the security, office, and custodial staff. What a fun and meaningful event!
