RPRY students learn about the beauty and joy of the chagim throughout the year.  Many learning units are blended with other subjects to both expand students’ understanding of a chag and reinforce developmental learning objectives.  At RPRY, nurturing rich Jewish life and learning for each student is focused through the prism of metacognition, and by expanding Torah outside the bounds of Judaics classes and into each unit students learn.

Computer Coding at RPRY!

"What can I do to make my plan more efficient?" "How can I change my plan to correct this action?" These self-reflective questions reverberated throughout the building, as students engaged in computer coding lessons.  As part of Computer Science Week, RPRY joined in the national Hour of Code program, where students across the grades engaged in computer coding activities. The premise of RPRY's science/STEM curriculum lies in an inquiry-based model where students engage in the design planning process, frame mistakes as opportunities, and persevere.

Music Class Hits a High Note

Third grade is learning to play recorders in music class! The curriculum teaches the students to read sheet music and play combinations of notes, building skills as they progress.

Eighth grade boys volunteered to build the sukkah at the Chaim v’Chessed Bikur Cholim house in New Brunswick.

In preparation for the yomim noraim, Rabbi Pesach Raymon Yeshiva had the privilege of hearing from Rabbi Dr. Jacob J. Schacter, university professor of Jewish history and Jewish thought and senior scholar at the Center for the Jewish Future at Yeshiva University.
